Isuzu D-Max 3rd gen (RG) wheel fitment

RG D-Max owners often replace the upper trims' eighteen-inch wheels with seventeens for touring. Larger tyres need more than a lift alone, as steering lock can still bring them into contact with the mudflaps.

Touring 17-inch wheel

Front and rear
17 × 9 inch, ET18

Listed by CalOffroad for D-Max applications. Select the tyre after checking load, arch coverage and full-travel clearance; the wheel guide does not specify a tyre.

Lifted Bradley V build

Front and rear
18 × 8.5 inch, ET20 · 265/65 R18

Photographed on a lifted 2023 D-Max by Street Track Life. The tyres still scrub the front mudflaps at full lock, and trimming is required.

Width and offset guidance

Offset range

Check the exact setup

There is no confirmed range for this car yet. Compare a known wheel with your proposed size and measure both sides.

Common width limit

Measure before ordering

A maximum width has not been confirmed. Tyre shape, ride height and alignment all change the available space.

These figures belong to the setups described here. Combining the widest wheel with either end of the offset range does not guarantee a safe fit. For how ET moves the wheel in and out, read wheel offset explained; for how far the tyre can sit out, see flush, poke and tucked fitment.

Clearance notes

  • Centre bore is omitted because consulted sources disagree: Brute Status lists 100.1 mm for 2021-on cars, while TireWheelGuide lists 100.5 mm. No manufacturer bore dimension was found to resolve this.
  • Torque is omitted because the sources checked give conflicting 120 and 140 Nm values, and the linked RG owner's manual could not be retrieved. Use the handbook supplied with the vehicle.
  • These stock entries focus on Australian high-ride models. Overseas low-ride and special-edition packages are not interchangeable by assumption.
  • The documented lifted 18-inch setup rubs at full lock. Raising ride height does not prove clearance at suspension compression.
  • Check full steering lock and suspension travel with the car loaded. Match wheel load rating, tyre load and speed ratings, fastener seats and brake clearance.

Questions

What is the RG D-Max bolt pattern?

It uses 6x139.7 with M12x1.5 wheel nuts. Confirm the centre bore separately because published measurements disagree.

What are the X-Terrain factory wheel sizes?

The Australian MY21 package is 18x7.5 ET33 with 265/60 R18 tyres.

Do 265/65 R18 tyres fit a new D-Max without trimming?

Not on every setup. Street Track Life documents a lifted RG on 18x8.5 ET20 wheels that still needs front mudflap trimming.

What size tyres does the Isuzu D-Max 3rd gen (RG) have?

Factory tyre (tire) sizes for the 2020–present Isuzu D-Max 3rd gen (RG) are 255/65 R17 and 265/60 R18, depending on trim. Your tyre placard shows the size for your car.
