Toyota Auris E180, 2nd gen wheel fitment

The second-generation Auris, sold in Britain as a hatchback and as the Touring Sports estate, came on 15, 16 or 17-inch wheels depending on grade, with the Hybrid sharing the same sizes. Most owners change wheels for comfort or winter use rather than looks, and the 16-inch size is a common choice because its tyres are cheap and it rides well.

Offset range

Check the exact setup

There is no confirmed range for this car yet. Compare a known wheel with your proposed size and measure both sides.

Common width limit

Measure before ordering

A maximum width has not been confirmed. Tyre shape, ride height and alignment all change the available space.

These figures belong to the setups described here. Combining the widest wheel with either end of the offset range does not guarantee a safe fit. For how ET moves the wheel in and out, read wheel offset explained; for how far the tyre can sit out, see flush, poke and tucked fitment.

Clearance notes

  • Wheel equipment follows grade rather than body style. Hatchback and Touring Sports versions of the same grade share wheel sizes.
  • At the 2013 launch, the Icon Hybrid used 15-inch alloys and 1.4 D-4D Sport and Excel models used 16-inch alloys instead of 17s. From the 2015 facelift, Icon and Business Edition have 16s and Design and Excel have 17s, including Hybrids.
  • The hub bore is 60.1 mm. Aftermarket wheels with a larger bore need hub-centric rings.
  • Wheel nuts are M12x1.5. Use nuts with the seat type the new wheel needs.
  • We have not confirmed Toyota's wheel-nut torque for this generation. Use the figure in the owner's handbook.
  • Check full steering lock and suspension travel with the car loaded. Match wheel load rating, tyre load and speed ratings, fastener seats and brake clearance.
