Porsche Taycan Y1A wheel fitment

Every Taycan saloon runs a staggered set, with factory wheels in 19, 20 and 21-inch sizes and much wider rims at the back. Owners changing wheels mostly stay at 21 inches on the factory tyre sizes and choose a lower offset so the wheels sit flusher with the arches, often alongside lowering links on air-suspended cars.

21-inch flush, ET45 front and ET51 rear

Front
21 × 9.5 inch, ET45 · 265/35 R21
Rear
21 × 11.5 inch, ET51 · 305/30 R21

A Taycan Turbo owner on TaycanForum had BC Forged build 21-inch wheels at the factory 21-inch widths and tyre sizes, with offsets chosen to match the 15 mm spacers they had run on the factory 20s. They measured caliper clearance using templates from BC Forged before ordering.

21-inch, ET45 front and ET52 rear, lowered

Front
21 × 9.5 inch, ET45 · 265/35 R21
Rear
21 × 11.5 inch, ET52 · 305/30 R21

A TaycanForum member posted this size on VR forged wheels with Vivid Racing lowering links. Other members in the thread put the usual range at 14 to 18 mm further out than stock at the front and 12 to 15 mm at the rear.

21-inch, ET50 front and ET58 rear

Front
21 × 9.5 inch, ET50 · 265/35 R21
Rear
21 × 11.5 inch, ET58 · 305/30 R21

A Taycan Turbo owner on TaycanForum reported that Vossen recommended these offsets for its 21-inch wheel, about 10 mm further out at the front and 8 mm at the rear than the factory 21s.

Width and offset guidance

Offset range

Check the exact setup

There is no confirmed range for this car yet. Compare a known wheel with your proposed size and measure both sides.

Common width limit

Measure before ordering

A maximum width has not been confirmed. Tyre shape, ride height and alignment all change the available space.

These figures belong to the setups described here. Combining the widest wheel with either end of the offset range does not guarantee a safe fit. For how ET moves the wheel in and out, read wheel offset explained; for how far the tyre can sit out, see flush, poke and tucked fitment.

Clearance notes

  • The Taycan uses 5x130 with a 71.6 mm hub. Aftermarket wheels with a larger bore need hub-centric rings.
  • Wheels are held by M14x1.5 bolts, torqued to 160 Nm. Bolts must suit the seat and thickness of the new wheel, and longer bolts are needed with spacers.
  • Wheel databases list the GTS, Turbo and Turbo S with 20 and 21-inch wheels only. Check that any 19 or 20-inch aftermarket wheel clears the larger brakes, using the wheel maker's caliper template.
  • A TaycanForum member pointed out that a 265/35 R22 front tyre is about an inch taller than the factory 21-inch tyre, so going to 22 inches with a taller sidewall risks rubbing on the arch liners at full lock.
  • The rear rims are much wider than the fronts, so front and rear wheels cannot be swapped and tyres cannot be rotated front to back.
  • Check full steering lock and suspension travel with the car loaded. Match wheel load rating, tyre load and speed ratings, fastener seats and brake clearance.
