Porsche 718 Cayman 982 wheel fitment

The 718 Cayman uses staggered tyres, with factory wheel packages from 18 to 20 inches. Road and track owners often choose wider 18-inch or 19-inch wheels, but rear strut clearance and front camber need checking.

18-inch road comfort

Front
18 × 9 inch, ET46 · 235/45 R18
Rear
18 × 10 inch, ET36 · 265/45 R18

Apex retains the factory tyre sizes on wider wheels. The front strut mounts may need adjustment to add negative camber.

19-inch road and track

Front
19 × 9 inch, ET50 · 255/35 R19
Rear
19 × 10.5 inch, ET44 · 285/35 R19

Apex documents this wider tyre pair. The front strut mounting position may need adjustment for extra negative camber; check clearance with the actual tyre.

Width and offset guidance

Offset range

Check the exact setup

There is no confirmed range for this car yet. Compare a known wheel with your proposed size and measure both sides.

Common width limit

Measure before ordering

A maximum width has not been confirmed. Tyre shape, ride height and alignment all change the available space.

These figures belong to the setups described here. Combining the widest wheel with either end of the offset range does not guarantee a safe fit. For how ET moves the wheel in and out, read wheel offset explained; for how far the tyre can sit out, see flush, poke and tucked fitment.

Clearance notes

  • Porsche specifies 160 Nm for the five-bolt wheel mounting. Use the bolt seat and length required by the wheel manufacturer.
  • The examples exclude GT4 and GT4 RS. The GT4 has its own suspension and wheel fitments; the GT4 RS uses centre-lock wheels.
  • PCCB and GTS 4.0 brake packages need a specific wheel-clearance check before downsizing. The Porsche approval excludes certain original 18-inch and 19-inch wheel designs from GTS 4.0 use.
  • One Porsche press specification prints 235/35 R18 for the base front tyre. The manufacturer wheel approval and other Porsche technical sheets specify 235/45 R18, used here.
  • Check full steering lock and suspension travel with the car loaded. Match wheel load rating, tyre load and speed ratings, fastener seats and brake clearance.
