The first Cayman came on staggered 17-inch wheels, with 18s on the Cayman S and 19s on the Cayman R. Owners building for track days usually move to wider 18-inch wheels for the bigger choice of track tyres, while Porsche's own 19-inch wheels are approved across the range for road cars.

LFI's Cayman guide gives this as its 987 18-inch size with 235/40 and 265/40 tyres, and shows it on a customer's 2005 987.1.
A 2011 Cayman owner on Rennlist bought this 18x9 ET46 and 18x10 ET35 set for 245/40 and 275/40 tyres on standard suspension, and other 987.2 owners there run similar 18-inch sets with 245 to 255 front and 275 to 295 rear track tyres.
LFI shows several 987.2 customer cars on 19x8.5 ET45 and 19x10 ET35 wheels, and recommends 235/35 and 265/35 tyres at this diameter.
Check the exact setup
There is no confirmed range for this car yet. Compare a known wheel with your proposed size and measure both sides.
Measure before ordering
A maximum width has not been confirmed. Tyre shape, ride height and alignment all change the available space.
These figures belong to the setups described here. Combining the widest wheel with either end of the offset range does not guarantee a safe fit. For how ET moves the wheel in and out, read wheel offset explained; for how far the tyre can sit out, see flush, poke and tucked fitment.
