Nissan Almera / Versa sedan N17 wheel fitment

The N17 saloon was sold as the Versa in the Americas, the Almera in South-East Asia and Australia, and the Sunny in China, India and the Middle East. It is a budget commuter, so most owners stay on 15- or 16-inch wheels, and the few who modify them usually go to a 16- or 17-inch alloy with a small drop. It uses a four-stud 4x100 hub, which is different from the first-generation Versa.

Popular community setups

Starting points for a build. Read the notes with each setup, especially if your car is lowered or has different brakes.

17-inch lowered street

Front and rear
17 × 7 inch, ET38 · 215/45 R17

A 2014 Versa S owner on Nissan Versa Forums reports 17x7 ET38 4x100 wheels with 215/45 R17 tyres, a drop of about 2 inches and no rubbing. The car was also used for autocross.

Conservative 16-inch on coilovers

Front and rear
16 × 7 inch, ET50

A 2015 Versa S owner on Nissan Versa Forums fitted Work Euroline DH 16x7 ET50 wheels with coilovers. He picked a high offset because the arches have little room. No tyre size was given.

Width and offset guidance

Offset range

Check the exact setup

There is no confirmed range for this car yet. Compare a known wheel with your proposed size and measure both sides.

Common width limit

Measure before ordering

A maximum width has not been confirmed. Tyre shape, ride height and alignment all change the available space.

These figures belong to the setups described here. Combining the widest wheel with either end of the offset range does not guarantee a safe fit. For how ET moves the wheel in and out, read wheel offset explained; for how far the tyre can sit out, see flush, poke and tucked fitment.

Clearance notes

  • Only the N17 saloon uses 4x100. The first-generation Versa (C11), including the 2012 US hatchback sold alongside the new saloon, is 4x114.3 with a 66.1 mm bore. Count the studs and check the year and body before buying wheels.
  • Most sources give a 60.1 mm hub bore, but one lug-nut database lists 59.1 mm. Measure the hub or use hub-centric rings sized for your car when a wheel's bore is larger.
  • The Russian-market Almera sold from 2013 to 2018 is the G15, a different car from the N17. Don't use this guide for it.
  • The front arches have little spare room. In the forum's sedan thread, an owner lowered about 4 inches reported rubbing on 17x7.5 ET42 wheels, while a 2-inch drop on 17x7 ET38 cleared.
  • In Mexico and parts of Latin America, the N17 was later sold as the V-Drive. Check the hub on those cars against the N17 figures here.
  • Check full steering lock and suspension travel with the car loaded. Match wheel load rating, tyre load and speed ratings, fastener seats and brake clearance.

Questions

What is the Nissan Versa sedan bolt pattern for 2012–2019?

4x100, with a 60.1 mm hub bore and M12x1.25 wheel nuts. The older C11 Versa is 4x114.3, so its wheels won't fit.

Are the Almera N17, Versa sedan and Sunny the same for wheels?

They are the same N17 saloon sold under different names, and wheel databases give the same 4x100 hub and 15x5.5 ET40 base wheel in the American, South-East Asian and Australian markets we checked. The Russian Almera G15 is a different car.

What wheel nut torque does the N17 Versa use?

Wheel databases list 113 Nm (about 83 lb-ft).

Will 17-inch wheels fit a Versa sedan?

Yes. An owner runs 17x7 ET38 with 215/45 R17 on a car lowered about 2 inches without rubbing. Much lower offsets or bigger drops are where owners report rubbing.

Can I fit the SL's 16-inch alloys to an S or SV?

Yes. The SL's 16x6 ET45 alloys use the same 4x100 hub, normally with 195/55 R16 tyres.

What size tyres does the Nissan Almera / Versa sedan N17 have?

Factory tyre (tire) sizes for the 2011–2019 Nissan Almera / Versa sedan N17 are 185/65 R15, 195/55 R16 and 175/70 R14, depending on trim. Your tyre placard shows the size for your car.

What wheel size does the Nissan Almera / Versa sedan N17 use?

Factory wheels are 15 × 5.5 inch, 16 × 6 inch and 14 × 5.5 inch, depending on trim. The stock table lists the offset for each.

What is the Nissan Almera / Versa sedan N17 centre bore?

60.1 mm. Aftermarket wheels with a larger bore need hub-centric rings sized to it.
