Nissan GT-R R35 wheel fitment

The R35 uses staggered wheels and tyres, with substantially wider rears. Wider 20-inch forged wheels are common, but the brake package and matching tyre circumferences are central to fitment.

Width and offset guidance

Offset range

Check the exact setup

There is no confirmed range for this car yet. Compare a known wheel with your proposed size and measure both sides.

Common width limit

Measure before ordering

A maximum width has not been confirmed. Tyre shape, ride height and alignment all change the available space.

These figures belong to the setups described here. Combining the widest wheel with either end of the offset range does not guarantee a safe fit. For how ET moves the wheel in and out, read wheel offset explained; for how far the tyre can sit out, see flush, poke and tucked fitment.

Clearance notes

  • Standard steel-brake cars use M12x1.25 nuts and 132 Nm. Carbon-ceramic Nismo and T-spec variants use M14x1.5 hardware; the 2024 Nissan manual specifies 155 Nm for Nismo, Nismo Special Edition and T-spec. Identify the brake and hub package before ordering nuts.
  • Generic R35 charts quoting 132 Nm omit the later exceptions. The manufacturer values above take precedence; a single generation-wide thread or torque value would be misleading.
  • The all-wheel-drive system requires a suitable front-to-rear rolling-circumference relationship. Confirm actual tyre specifications, not just nominal widths.
  • Nissan ended R35 production in August 2025. Earlier Track Edition packages differ, so the 10J stock entry applies only to cars supplied with that wheel.
  • Check full steering lock and suspension travel with the car loaded. Match wheel load rating, tyre load and speed ratings, fastener seats and brake clearance.

Questions

What is the R35 GT-R bolt pattern?

It is 5x114.3 with a 66.1 mm centre bore.

Do all R35 GT-Rs use the same wheel nuts?

No. Standard cars use M12x1.25; carbon-ceramic variants use M14x1.5. Torque also differs, with 132 Nm and 155 Nm applications.

What tyres are fitted to standard R35 wheels?

The factory pairing is 255/40 R20 front and 285/35 R20 rear.

Can I use 12-inch rear wheels?

Yes, documented 20x12 rear fitments exist. Wheel offset, brake clearance and the front-to-rear tyre pairing must all suit the car.

What wheel size does the Nissan GT-R R35 use?

Factory wheels are 20 × 9.5 inch, 20 × 10.5 inch and 20 × 10 inch, depending on trim. The stock table lists the offset for each.

What is the Nissan GT-R R35 centre bore?

66.1 mm. Aftermarket wheels with a larger bore need hub-centric rings sized to it.
