Most L405 owners keep factory-style 21 or 22-inch wheels and change little beyond tyres. The main exception is a switch to 20-inch wheels with all-terrain tyres for light off-road use, a size that owners report fits without rubbing.
Owners report 275/55 R20 tyres fitting with no rubbing at any ride height, and the 20-inch size gives the widest choice of all-terrain tyres. Supercharged and Autobiography cars need 20 inches as a minimum for their brakes, so confirm an aftermarket 20-inch design clears them.
Owners fit 285/40 R22 on the factory 9.5J 22-inch wheel for a little more sidewall. 285 is described as the widest sensible tyre on that rim width.

Measure before ordering
A maximum width has not been confirmed. Tyre shape, ride height and alignment all change the available space.
These figures belong to the setups described here. Combining the widest wheel with either end of the offset range does not guarantee a safe fit. For how ET moves the wheel in and out, read wheel offset explained; for how far the tyre can sit out, see flush, poke and tucked fitment.
Clearance notes
Supercharged and Autobiography L405s have larger brakes and need 20-inch or larger wheels.
Owners report rubbing once the overall tyre diameter reaches about 32 inches. On 23-inch wheels, owners report light rubbing in access mode on hard turns or bumps.
Tighten the M14x1.5 nuts to 140 Nm. Forum and retailer sources agree on this figure, and it matches the L494, which uses the same nuts. We could not confirm it from an L405 handbook, so check your own handbook.
The hub bore is 72.6 mm. Use hub rings for any aftermarket wheel with a larger bore, and nuts that match the wheel's seat type.
Many genuine L405 wheels are shared with the L494 Range Rover Sport and Discovery models.
Check full steering lock and suspension travel with the car loaded. Match wheel load rating, tyre load and speed ratings, fastener seats and brake clearance.
