Ford Mustang SN95 / New Edge wheel fitment

SN95 and New Edge Mustangs commonly use 17-inch Cobra-style wheels or wider 18-inch sets. Solid rear axles and the Cobra's independent rear suspension create different rear clearance checks.

Apex suggests at least 2 degrees of negative front camber. IRS rear cars can use a suitable half-inch spacer for appearance, but Apex does not require it.

Width and offset guidance

Offset range

Check the exact setup

There is no confirmed range for this car yet. Compare a known wheel with your proposed size and measure both sides.

Common width limit

Measure before ordering

A maximum width has not been confirmed. Tyre shape, ride height and alignment all change the available space.

These figures belong to the setups described here. Combining the widest wheel with either end of the offset range does not guarantee a safe fit. For how ET moves the wheel in and out, read wheel offset explained; for how far the tyre can sit out, see flush, poke and tucked fitment.

Clearance notes

  • Do not use metric Mustang nuts: original SN95 studs take 1/2-inch, 20 TPI UNF nuts.
  • Ford's 2004 second-printing handbook specifies 133 Nm; many fitment references give 135 Nm. A generation-wide torque number is omitted. Follow the handbook for the exact year and hardware.
  • Some generic fitment sites incorrectly list M12x1.5 and a 70.3 mm bore. Ford confirms the imperial thread; specialist SN95 wheel references use 70.5 mm.
  • Cobra IRS clearance and lowered-car arch clearance need separate checks. Later Mustang offsets cannot be assumed suitable.
  • Low-volume Cobra R factory packages and every intermediate-year V6 option are outside the verified stock list.
  • Check full steering lock and suspension travel with the car loaded. Match wheel load rating, tyre load and speed ratings, fastener seats and brake clearance.
