Ford Mustang S650 wheel fitment

The S650 supports many of the same wheel sizes used on the S550. Its larger performance brakes make the exact trim particularly important when choosing a smaller wheel diameter.

Popular community setups

Starting points for a build. Read the notes with each setup, especially if your car is lowered or has different brakes.

19-inch daily square

Front and rear
19 × 9 inch, ET34 · 255/40 R19

Apex lists this as a direct fit. Use a wheel specifically cleared for the car's brake package.

Square road and track

Front and rear
19 × 10 inch, ET40 · 285/35 R19

Apex direct-fit package; track use benefits from additional negative camber.

20-inch staggered road setup

Front
20 × 10 inch, ET35 · 275/35 R20
Rear
20 × 11 inch, ET52 · 305/30 R20

Apex road fitment. Check tyre-to-arch clearance if the car has been lowered.

Width and offset guidance

Offset range

Check the exact setup

There is no confirmed range for this car yet. Compare a known wheel with your proposed size and measure both sides.

Common width limit

Measure before ordering

A maximum width has not been confirmed. Tyre shape, ride height and alignment all change the available space.

These figures belong to the setups described here. Combining the widest wheel with either end of the offset range does not guarantee a safe fit. For how ET moves the wheel in and out, read wheel offset explained; for how far the tyre can sit out, see flush, poke and tucked fitment.

Clearance notes

  • Apex requires at least 19-inch wheels for Performance Package EcoBoost/GT brakes and all standard Dark Horse models covered by its guide.
  • Ford specifies M14x1.5 nuts at 204 Nm. Factory 17-inch, GT base 18-inch and optional 20-inch offsets were not all independently resolved, so those stock rows are omitted.
  • Retailers use both 70.5 and 70.6 mm for the wheel pilot. Use a wheel sold for this precise application.
  • This guide covers EcoBoost, GT and the regular Dark Horse. GTD and Dark Horse SC require separate hardware and clearance verification.
  • Check full steering lock and suspension travel with the car loaded. Match wheel load rating, tyre load and speed ratings, fastener seats and brake clearance.
