Ford Mustang S550 wheel fitment

Square wheel sets are common on S550s used on track, while road cars often retain wider rear wheels. Brake packages and Shelby bodywork need to be considered before copying another Mustang's setup.

Width and offset guidance

Offset range

Check the exact setup

There is no confirmed range for this car yet. Compare a known wheel with your proposed size and measure both sides.

Common width limit

Measure before ordering

A maximum width has not been confirmed. Tyre shape, ride height and alignment all change the available space.

These figures belong to the setups described here. Combining the widest wheel with either end of the offset range does not guarantee a safe fit. For how ET moves the wheel in and out, read wheel offset explained; for how far the tyre can sit out, see flush, poke and tucked fitment.

Clearance notes

  • Ford specifies 204 Nm for clean wheel nut threads. Do not substitute the older Mustang's 1/2-inch UNF nuts.
  • Hub references commonly quote 70.5 mm; some retailers round the wheel pilot to 70.6 mm. Order by an explicitly confirmed Mustang application.
  • The aftermarket entries apply to V6, EcoBoost, GT and related regular-body cars. GT350, GT350R and GT500 need their own brake and body clearance checks.
  • GT500 and Mach 1 factory rows are omitted because their complete trim-specific dimensions were not resolved. Published Mach 1 Handling Package rear offsets conflict, so no value is guessed.
  • Check full steering lock and suspension travel with the car loaded. Match wheel load rating, tyre load and speed ratings, fastener seats and brake clearance.
