Suzuki Swift Sport ZC33S wheel fitment

The ZC33S Swift Sport is a light turbocharged hatch that came on one factory size everywhere it was sold: a 17x6.5 wheel with 195/45 R17 tyres. Unlike the ordinary 4x100 Swift, it uses 5x114.3, so a wide range of Japanese aftermarket wheels bolt on. Most owners stay at 17 inches and move to a 7 or 7.5-inch rim with a slightly wider tyre.

Popular community setups

Starting points for a build. Read the notes with each setup, especially if your car is lowered or has different brakes.

17x7 ET45 with 205/45 R17

Front and rear
17 × 7 inch, ET45 · 205/45 R17

The MetabonZ ZC33S blog's author runs 205/45 R17 on 7J +45 wheels with TEIN coilovers, saying the wheel sits just inside the arch and strut clearance stays as stock. An OZ Rally Racing set in the same size appears in Cartune's ZC33S owner gallery.

17x7.5 ET48 with 215/45 R17

Front and rear
17 × 7.5 inch, ET48 · 215/45 R17

Two Enkei RPF1 owners in Cartune's ZC33S gallery run this size. Monster Sport lists its own 17x7.5 +48 wheel for the ZC33S, but only for cars lowered by around 30 mm, as it can stand proud of the arch at standard height.

17x7.5 ET50 with 215/40 R17

Front and rear
17 × 7.5 inch, ET50 · 215/40 R17

A second car on the MetabonZ blog runs 7.5J +50 wheels with 215/40 R17, with no rubbing on the arch or the strut reported. Keeping the factory offset on a wider rim takes about 12.7 mm off the gap to the strut.

18x7.5 ET48 with 225/35 R18

Front and rear
18 × 7.5 inch, ET48 · 225/35 R18

A Volk Racing ZE40 owner in Cartune's ZC33S gallery runs this 18-inch size. The 225/35 R18 is about 1.3% taller than the factory tyre.

16x7 ET42 with 205/50 R16

Front and rear
16 × 7 inch, ET42 · 205/50 R16

A WedsSport SA-25R owner in Cartune's ZC33S gallery runs this 16-inch size, which gives a taller sidewall and cheaper tyres. Check that the wheel clears the front calipers before buying a 16.

Width and offset guidance

Offset range

Check the exact setup

There is no confirmed range for this car yet. Compare a known wheel with your proposed size and measure both sides.

Common width limit

Measure before ordering

A maximum width has not been confirmed. Tyre shape, ride height and alignment all change the available space.

These figures belong to the setups described here. Combining the widest wheel with either end of the offset range does not guarantee a safe fit. For how ET moves the wheel in and out, read wheel offset explained; for how far the tyre can sit out, see flush, poke and tucked fitment.

Clearance notes

  • The ZC33S uses 5x114.3, unlike the 4x100 used by most ordinary Swifts. Wheels from a standard Swift will not fit.
  • The hub bore is 60.1 mm. Many Japanese aftermarket wheels have a larger bore and need hub-centric rings.
  • Wheel nuts are M12x1.25 with a 60-degree taper seat on aftermarket wheels. Use the seat type the new wheel needs.
  • Owners on the Kakaku.com Swift Sport board report that 7J and 7.5J wheels at +45 sit at or past the front arch lip, especially with a 215 tyre. A Japanese tyre shop fitted 17x7.5 BBS RF wheels to a lowered car only after adjusting front camber.
  • Wider rims at high offset close the gap to the front strut. Posters on the same board estimate around 4 to 10 mm of strut clearance for 7.5J wheels at +48 to +50.
  • We have not confirmed Suzuki's wheel-nut torque for this car. Use the figure in the owner's handbook.
  • Check full steering lock and suspension travel with the car loaded. Match wheel load rating, tyre load and speed ratings, fastener seats and brake clearance.

Questions

What is the bolt pattern of the ZC33S Swift Sport?

5x114.3, with a 60.1 mm centre bore and M12x1.25 wheel nuts. This is different from the 4x100 pattern on most non-Sport Swifts.

What size are the factory Swift Sport ZC33S wheels?

17x6.5 ET50, with 195/45 R17 tyres front and rear. Some databases list 17x7 for the same car, but the genuine wheels are marked 6.5J +50.

Can I fit 205/45 R17 tyres to a ZC33S?

Yes. It is the most common upgrade, about 1.6% taller than the 195/45 R17. It suits a 7J rim best; owners run it on 7J wheels at +45 to +48.

How wide can I go on a ZC33S without arch work?

Owners commonly run 7.5J at +48 to +50. At +45 or lower, a 7.5J wheel can sit past the front arch unless the car is lowered and given some negative camber.

What size tyres does the Suzuki Swift Sport ZC33S have?

Factory tyre (tire) sizes for the 2017–2025 Suzuki Swift Sport ZC33S are 195/45 R17, depending on trim. Your tyre placard shows the size for your car.

What wheel size does the Suzuki Swift Sport ZC33S use?

Factory wheels are 17 × 6.5 inch, depending on trim. The stock table lists the offset for each.

What is the Suzuki Swift Sport ZC33S centre bore?

60.1 mm. Aftermarket wheels with a larger bore need hub-centric rings sized to it.
