The fourth-generation Jimny comes as the 660cc JB64 kei car in Japan and as the 1.5-litre JB74, sold as the Jimny Sierra in Japan and simply as the Jimny elsewhere, with flared arches and a wider track. Most owners want a slightly taller, chunkier all-terrain tyre without lifting the car, and the 215 width on 15 or 16-inch wheels is where most of them land.

Suzuki Jimny JB64/JB74 (4th gen) hub and fastener specifications
Owners of 2019 and 2020 JB74s on the Big Jimny forum report fitting 215/75 R15 all-terrain and mud tyres straight onto the original 5.5-inch alloys, and say it works fine despite being the widest size usually suggested for that rim.
The usual 16-inch aftermarket size for the JB74. JimnyStyle lists 215/70 R16 on its 16x6 ET-5 wheels as needing no modification, and Big Jimny forum members point newcomers to the same size for a standard-height JB74. Treat this as a JB74 fitment.
A wider, deeper-dish look. One fourth-generation owner on the Big Jimny forum posted photos of his car on 7x15 ET-14 wheels with BFGoodrich 215/75 R15 tyres. This sits well outside the factory wheel, so check how far the tyre stands proud of the arch for your local rules.
The common taller tyre for the kei JB64. The Japanese magazine Motor-Fan describes 185/85 R16 as fitting a standard or slightly lifted JB64, adding about 15 mm of height but little width. These are light-truck based tyres, so they are heavier and ride firmer than the factory 175/80 R16.

Check the exact setup
There is no confirmed range for this car yet. Compare a known wheel with your proposed size and measure both sides.
Common width limit
Measure before ordering
A maximum width has not been confirmed. Tyre shape, ride height and alignment all change the available space.
These figures belong to the setups described here. Combining the widest wheel with either end of the offset range does not guarantee a safe fit. For how ET moves the wheel in and out, read wheel offset explained; for how far the tyre can sit out, see flush, poke and tucked fitment.
Clearance notes
JB64 and JB74 share the 5x139.7 bolt pattern, 108.1 mm centre bore and M12x1.25 wheel nuts, so wheels bolt across both. The JB74's track is about 130 mm wider and it has flared arches, so a wheel that sits flush on a JB74 will stand out further on a JB64.
The 5x139.7 pattern is shared with earlier Jimnys, but check the offset: older-generation wheels were made for a narrower car.
On the JB74, 225/75 R16 and 225/70 R16 tyres generally need the front bumper trimmed, as the tyre can touch it at full lock. 235/70 R16 is usually paired with a 40 mm or bigger lift and bumper trimming.
Taller tyres such as 185/85 R16 or 215/75 R15 change the speedometer reading. Recalibrate if you go up more than a few per cent.
We have not confirmed Suzuki's wheel-nut torque for this generation. Use the figure in the owner's handbook.
