Mercedes-AMG CLA45 / CLA45 S C118 / X118 wheel fitment

The C118 CLA45 and CLA45 S run a square 19-inch setup on 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, so owners keep one tyre size on all four corners. Typical upgrades are hub-centric spacers on the factory wheels or a lighter 19x9 forged set, with brake clearance the main thing to check on smaller or lower-offset wheels.

Popular community setups

Starting points for a build. Read the notes with each setup, especially if your car is lowered or has different brakes.

Factory 19s with hub-centric spacers

Front and rear
19 × 8.5 inch, ET46 · 245/35 R19

MBWorld owners of a 2020 CLA45 report 12.5 mm front and 15 mm rear spacers working at standard height, and 10 mm front and 12.5 mm rear on H&R springs. Larger front spacers rubbed once lowered. Use spacers with a centring lip and longer bolts.

19x9 square forged

Front and rear
19 × 9 inch, ET32 · 255/35 R19

LFI lists 19x9 ET32 as a proven CLA45 build, and 19x9 wheels on 255/35 R19 tyres appear in C118 galleries. This sits about 20 mm further out than the factory 9J ET52 wheel, so check arch clearance if lowered.

19x8.5 square, mild

Front and rear
19 × 8.5 inch, ET42

Also listed by LFI as a proven CLA45 build. It sits 4 mm further out than the factory 8.5J ET46 wheel and suits the factory 245/35 R19 tyre.

Width and offset guidance

Offset range

Check the exact setup

There is no confirmed range for this car yet. Compare a known wheel with your proposed size and measure both sides.

Common width limit

Measure before ordering

A maximum width has not been confirmed. Tyre shape, ride height and alignment all change the available space.

These figures belong to the setups described here. Combining the widest wheel with either end of the offset range does not guarantee a safe fit. For how ET moves the wheel in and out, read wheel offset explained; for how far the tyre can sit out, see flush, poke and tucked fitment.

Clearance notes

  • The Mercedes CLA (C118) owner's manual specifies 130 Nm for the wheel bolts. Factory bolts have a ball seat; aftermarket wheels usually need conical-seat bolts.
  • Brake clearance on 18-inch wheels is tight. An 18x8 ET40 wheel cleared the upgraded brakes on a 2021 car by only 2.5-3 mm, and an 18x8 ET45 Enkei M52 did not clear the front calipers without a spacer.
  • Keep one tyre size on all four corners to protect the 4MATIC+ drivetrain.
  • Spacers must be hub-centric (66.6 mm) and bolts lengthened by the spacer thickness.
  • The earlier C117 CLA45 (2013-2019) uses different factory wheels and is covered separately.
  • Check full steering lock and suspension travel with the car loaded. Match wheel load rating, tyre load and speed ratings, fastener seats and brake clearance.
