Audi A4 / S4 B8 wheel fitment

The B8 A4 and S4 share a 5x112 mounting pattern and a larger hub than the compact Audis. Wider square 19-inch packages are common, but a wheel proven on an A4 still needs a separate S4 brake-clearance check.

5x112 bolt pattern · 66.5 mm centre bore · Stock wheels: 16 × 7, 17 × 7.5, 18 × 8, 19 × 8.5 inch · Stock tyres: 225/55 R16, 225/50 R17, 245/40 R18, 255/35 R19

19-inch road setup

Front and rear
19 × 9.5 inch, ET45 · 255/35 R19

ThreePiece documents BBS CH-R wheels on a standard-height S4 without rubbing. Confirm the tyre maker permits this rim width.

19-inch lowered setup

Front and rear
19 × 9.5 inch, ET40 · 255/35 R19

Documented Avant Garde M590 build on coilovers without spacers or reported rubbing. Results depend on ride height, alignment and wheel design.

Width and offset guidance

Offset range

Check the exact setup

There is no confirmed range for this car yet. Compare a known wheel with your proposed size and measure both sides.

Common width limit

Measure before ordering

A maximum width has not been confirmed. Tyre shape, ride height and alignment all change the available space.

These figures belong to the setups described here. Combining the widest wheel with either end of the offset range does not guarantee a safe fit. For how ET moves the wheel in and out, read wheel offset explained; for how far the tyre can sit out, see flush, poke and tucked fitment.

Clearance notes

  • Factory wheels use ball-seat bolts. Match the bolt seat and length to the replacement wheel; a matching thread alone is not sufficient.
  • The hub is commonly listed as 66.5 mm; wheel catalogues also use 66.6 mm for the matching fitment. Confirm the wheel's B8 application rather than selecting an unrelated 5x112 wheel.
  • A 57.1 mm centre bore from an S3 or Golf wheel is too small for the B8 hub.
  • The 16 and 17-inch A4 packages are not approved here for the larger S4 brakes.
  • Lowered cars need tyre-to-arch and inner clearance checks. These examples do not cover the A4 allroad or wide-body RS4.
  • Check full steering lock and suspension travel with the car loaded. Match wheel load rating, tyre load and speed ratings, fastener seats and brake clearance.

Questions

What is the Audi A4 B8 bolt pattern?

5x112. The hub is nominally 66.5 mm, often catalogued as a 66.6 mm wheel fitment.

Do Golf or S3 wheels bolt straight onto an A4 B8?

Not if they have the usual 57.1 mm centre bore. The B8 hub is larger, despite sharing the 5x112 bolt pattern.

What tyre size suits 19x9.5 wheels on a B8?

255/35 R19 is documented on ET40 and ET45 road builds. Check tyre rim-width approval and clearance on a lowered car.

What torque do A4 and S4 B8 wheel bolts need?

120 Nm. Both use M14x1.5 wheel bolts.

What wheel size does the Audi A4 / S4 B8 use?

Factory wheels are 16 × 7 inch, 17 × 7.5 inch, 18 × 8 inch and 19 × 8.5 inch, depending on trim. The stock table lists the offset for each.

What is the Audi A4 / S4 B8 centre bore?

66.5 mm. Aftermarket wheels with a larger bore need hub-centric rings sized to it.
