Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG W177 wheel fitment

The W177 A45 and A45 S use a square setup, with the same wheel and tyre size on every corner. Most owners keep the 19-inch diameter and look for lighter forged wheels with an offset close to factory. Eighteen-inch track sets exist, but the large front brakes mean each design has to be checked for clearance.

Popular community setups

Starting points for a build. Read the notes with each setup, especially if your car is lowered or has different brakes.

19-inch forged OEM+

Front and rear
19 × 8.5 inch, ET43 · 245/35 R19

BBS Japan lists several 19x8.5 ET43 designs for the A45 S as standard sizes rather than tuner sizes. It keeps the factory tyre and sits about 3 mm further out than the original wheel.

19x9 wider street setup

Front and rear
19 × 9 inch, ET37 · 245/35 R19

BBS lists a 19x9 ET37 RE-V for the A45 S as a tuner size, so arch or body work may be needed depending on tyre and ride height. A gallery A45 on 19x9 forged wheels runs the factory 245/35 R19 tyre.

18-inch track set

Front and rear
18 × 8.5 inch, ET35 · 245/40 R18

BBS lists one 18x8.5 ET35 design for the A45 S as a tuner size, and a gallery A45 on 18-inch Work wheels runs 245/40 R18. Many 18-inch wheels will not clear the front calipers, so confirm the exact design first.

Width and offset guidance

Offset range

Check the exact setup

There is no confirmed range for this car yet. Compare a known wheel with your proposed size and measure both sides.

Common width limit

Measure before ordering

A maximum width has not been confirmed. Tyre shape, ride height and alignment all change the available space.

These figures belong to the setups described here. Combining the widest wheel with either end of the offset range does not guarantee a safe fit. For how ET moves the wheel in and out, read wheel offset explained; for how far the tyre can sit out, see flush, poke and tucked fitment.

Clearance notes

  • Keep the same tyre size on all four wheels. Every factory A45 package listed here is square, and the car is four-wheel drive.
  • Fitment databases give a 66.6 mm centre bore; BBS Japan lists its OE-style A45 S wheel at 66.5 mm. Either way, an aftermarket wheel with a larger bore needs the right hub rings.
  • Factory wheels use M14x1.5 bolts with a ball (radius) seat. Use the bolt seat and length specified for the replacement wheel, and tighten to 130 Nm on dry threads.
  • The A45 S has 360 mm front discs. Not every 18-inch wheel clears them: one UK retailer lists no 18-inch options for the W177 A45, while BBS lists a single 18-inch design as a tuner size. A genuine Mercedes 8x18 ET48.5 winter wheel (A1774013900, 225/45 R18) is sold for both A35 and A45.
  • BBS Japan marks some sizes as tuner sizes, which may need body changes depending on tyre brand, tyre size and ride height.
  • Genuine A-Class AMG Line wheels are not approved for AMG Performance models, so do not assume a lesser W177 wheel clears A45 brakes.
  • Check full steering lock and suspension travel with the car loaded. Match wheel load rating, tyre load and speed ratings, fastener seats and brake clearance.
