The second-generation Fit, sold in Europe and Australia as the Jazz, came on 14, 15 or 16-inch wheels, with the US Sport and 16-inch versions elsewhere on 16x6 alloys. It is light enough that owners often go wider rather than bigger, typically a 7-inch wheel in 15, 16 or 17 inches with a 205-section tyre, kept near ET40 to ET45 so it stays inside the arches.

Honda Fit / Jazz GE hub and fastener specifications
A common FitFreak GE8 recommendation. One owner lowered by about 2 inches reported no rubbing at ET45 with 205/45 R16, while the same car rubbed at the front on hard turns with ET40 and taller 185/55 tyres.
Owners on FitFreak running 15x7 ET38 wheels on Swift Sport springs report no rubbing, even in turns, with 205/55 R15. It keeps a taller sidewall and is close to the factory 16-inch tyre's diameter.
A FitFreak member at standard ride height reported no rubbing at all on 17x7 ET42 with 205/40 R17. The same owner had heavy rear rubbing when spacers brought the rear offset down to about ET15.
Width and offset guidance
Offset range
ET38 to ET53
Owner setups on 7-inch wheels run from about ET38 to ET45 without rubbing. Lower offsets start to rub at the front, especially when lowered.
Common width limit
7 inch
FitFreak owners treat 7 inches as the practical limit without fender work. 7.5 and 8-inch wheels are run, but owners report rubbing or rolled arches.
These figures belong to the setups described here. Combining the widest wheel with either end of the offset range does not guarantee a safe fit. For how ET moves the wheel in and out, read wheel offset explained; for how far the tyre can sit out, see flush, poke and tucked fitment.
Clearance notes
The GE uses the same 4x100 pattern and 56.1 mm hub bore as other Fit generations, so their wheels bolt on. Check the offset, as factory GE wheels range from ET45 to ET53.
Wheel nuts are M12x1.5, tightened to 108 Nm. Use nuts with the seat type the new wheel needs.
205/50 R16 is taller than the factory 185/55 R16. Owners report it rubbing on lowered cars unless they add negative camber or roll the arches; 205/45 R16 is closer to the factory diameter.
Front liner rub on dips and at full lock is the usual complaint on lowered cars with ET40 or less. Camber bolts and tucking the liners are the common fixes.
Wheels with a larger bore than 56.1 mm need hub-centric rings.
Check full steering lock and suspension travel with the car loaded. Match wheel load rating, tyre load and speed ratings, fastener seats and brake clearance.
