The fifth-generation Civic came on small 13 and 14-inch wheels, with 15s kept for the sportier SiR and VTi. Most owners move to a light 15-inch wheel around 7 inches wide, which fills the arches without the rubbing that wider, lower-offset wheels bring on a lowered car.

Honda Civic EG/EH/EJ (5th gen) hub and fastener specifications
On the civic-eg.com forum, an owner of a car lowered about an inch on Eibach springs chose 15x7 ET40 with 205/50 R15 over ET35, and another member says ET35 to ET40 is the ideal window for that tyre on a mildly lowered EG.

Check the exact setup
There is no confirmed range for this car yet. Compare a known wheel with your proposed size and measure both sides.
Common width limit
Measure before ordering
A maximum width has not been confirmed. Tyre shape, ride height and alignment all change the available space.
These figures belong to the setups described here. Combining the widest wheel with either end of the offset range does not guarantee a safe fit. For how ET moves the wheel in and out, read wheel offset explained; for how far the tyre can sit out, see flush, poke and tucked fitment.
Clearance notes
Every EG, EH and EJ Civic uses 4x100 with a 56.1 mm hub and M12x1.5 nuts. Aftermarket wheels with a larger bore need hub-centric rings.
Factory wheels are ET45 across the range. A 15x7 at ET35 to ET40 sits further out than stock, so lowered cars should check the front arch lip at full lock and over bumps.
Original Honda alloys use ball-seat nuts. Most aftermarket wheels need 60-degree taper nuts instead.
Wheel widths vary by market. TireWheelGuide lists some 1.6 models on 14x5.5 ET45 as well as 14x5, so read the stamp on the wheel before matching a spare.
We have not confirmed Honda's wheel-nut torque for this generation from a factory source. Use the figure in the owner's handbook or workshop manual.
