Audi TT RS 8S (FV) wheel fitment

The TT RS 8S runs square 9J wheels from the factory, in 19 or 20 inches. Owners chasing lap times usually drop to a lighter, wider 18-inch set, and the deciding factor is clearing the 370 mm eight-piston front brakes.

5x112 bolt pattern · 57.1 mm centre bore · Stock wheels: 19 × 9, 20 × 9 inch · Stock tyres: 245/35 R19, 255/30 R20

Popular community setups

Starting points for a build. Read the notes with each setup, especially if your car is lowered or has different brakes.

18-inch square OEM+ daily

Front and rear
18 × 9 inch, ET42 · 255/35 R18

Apex lists 18x9 ET42 as a direct fit with no spacers or hub rings, clearing both steel and carbon-ceramic front brakes on its designs. Apex also mentions 255/40 R18; 265/35 R18 fits but may want extra negative camber on sticky tyres.

18-inch square track setup

Front and rear
18 × 9.5 inch, ET41 · 265/35 R18

Apex's track fitment. No spacers needed, but aggressive tyre compounds may need more front and rear negative camber. Use 255/40 R18 for an easier fit.

19-inch square street setup

Front and rear
19 × 9 inch, ET42 · 245/35 R19

Same width as stock with a lower offset. Apex specifies 3 mm front spacers for brake clearance with its 19-inch design, so budget for longer bolts. 255/35 R19 fits with extra camber on track tyres.

Offset range

Check the exact setup

There is no confirmed range for this car yet. Compare a known wheel with your proposed size and measure both sides.

Common width limit

Measure before ordering

A maximum width has not been confirmed. Tyre shape, ride height and alignment all change the available space.

These figures belong to the setups described here. Combining the widest wheel with either end of the offset range does not guarantee a safe fit. For how ET moves the wheel in and out, read wheel offset explained; for how far the tyre can sit out, see flush, poke and tucked fitment.

Clearance notes

  • Factory wheels use ball-seat bolts; most aftermarket wheels use conical seats. Use bolts that match the wheel's seat and give enough thread engagement, especially with spacers.
  • The front brakes are 370 mm discs with eight-piston calipers, steel or carbon-ceramic. Clearance depends on the spoke shape, so the 18-inch statements here apply to the documented Apex designs rather than every 18-inch wheel.
  • Apex's 19x9 ET42 setup needs 3 mm front spacers to clear the brakes, while its 18-inch setups do not.
  • Torque is 120 Nm. Audi's workshop table lists 120 Nm for all TT types.
  • Keep the same wheel and tyre size on both axles. Apex recommends a square setup on this quattro car so tyres can be rotated and wear evenly.
  • Check full steering lock and suspension travel with the car loaded. Match wheel load rating, tyre load and speed ratings, fastener seats and brake clearance.
