The Evo VI and the Tommi Makinen Edition are among the most collected Evos, so many owners keep the factory 17-inch wheels or choose period-correct designs. Those who upgrade usually go to an 18-inch wheel with a lower offset to fill the wide arches. The factory wheels are fairly narrow at 7.5 inches, which leaves room to go wider without arch work.

These figures belong to the setups described here. Combining the widest wheel with either end of the offset range does not guarantee a safe fit. For how ET moves the wheel in and out, read wheel offset explained; for how far the tyre can sit out, see flush, poke and tucked fitment.
