The S2000 uses staggered factory wheels with unusually high rear offsets. Square 17-inch setups are common for track use, but wider wheels often need camber and rolled arches.
Apex lists this as a fitment for unrolled arches. Additional negative camber is encouraged with wider tyre compounds. A square setup changes the balance from the factory stagger.
Apex specifies rolled front and rear arches and roughly 2 to 2.5 degrees of negative camber at both ends. This is a prepared-car fitment.
Width and offset guidance
Offset range
Check the exact setup
There is no confirmed range for this car yet. Compare a known wheel with your proposed size and measure both sides.
Common width limit
Measure before ordering
A maximum width has not been confirmed. Tyre shape, ride height and alignment all change the available space.
These figures belong to the setups described here. Combining the widest wheel with either end of the offset range does not guarantee a safe fit. For how ET moves the wheel in and out, read wheel offset explained; for how far the tyre can sit out, see flush, poke and tucked fitment.
Clearance notes
The front hub is 70.1 mm and the rear is 64.1 mm. A single centre-bore value cannot describe both axles, so the scalar field is omitted.
A wheel bored only to 64.1 mm will not fit the original front hub. Hub rings must be selected separately for each axle when needed.
The 2004 wheel change also applies to markets that retained the AP1 chassis designation; identify the model year rather than relying only on AP1/AP2 shorthand.
Factory Honda nuts use ball seats; aftermarket wheel seats must be matched.

Are the S2000 front and rear centre bores the same?+
No. The front is 70.1 mm and the rear is 64.1 mm.
Can an S2000 run a square wheel setup?+
Yes. Apex documents 17x9 ET61 with 245/40 R17 tyres. Wider square setups require additional alignment and body clearance work.
What are the original AP2 wheel offsets?+
The usual 17-inch package is ET55 front and ET65 rear, with 7J front and 8.5J rear wheels.
What size tyres does the Honda S2000 AP1 / AP2 have?+
Factory tyre (tire) sizes for the 1999–2009 Honda S2000 AP1 / AP2 are 205/55 R16, 225/50 R16, 215/45 R17, 245/40 R17 and 255/40 R17, depending on trim, with wider rears on staggered setups. Your tyre placard shows the size for your car.
